Who is Bounce Valley?

Bounce Valley operates indoor trampoline and play parks under the name Bounce Valley. We offer our services via our website, booking systems, telephone customer service and our physical locations.

Bounce Valley Group B.V. is the data controller for all data processing via:

  • -the handling of enquiries, complaints and requests;
  • -the processing of data when you visit our venues.

Bounce Valley operates through franchise outlets. Franchise outlets are independent data controllers for the personal data they process within their own premises.

When you visit our website, we process:

Bookings and tickets

When you make a booking or purchase tickets, we process:

  • -date of your visit;
  • -number of people;
  • -payment details;

This data is shared with the venue where you will be playing. This may be one of our own venues or a franchise venue.

Account

When you create an account, we process:

Visiting a Bounce Valley venue

When you visit a venue, we process:

  • -ticket information;
  • -booking details;
  • -age verification (we do not make copies of ID);
  • -additional information you provide on site.

CCTV

We use CCTV at all locations. CCTV footage is used for:

  • -security;
  • -monitoring;
  • -incident management.

CCTV footage is not used for marketing purposes.

Incident recording

In the event of incidents or breaches of house rules, we record:

  • -name and contact details;
  • -date, time and location of the incident;
  • -description of the incident;
  • -the attraction or situation involved;
  • -statements from those involved;
  • -CCTV footage;
  • -any damage or injury.

In the event of serious incidents involving play equipment, we report anonymised data to the NVWA (WAS 2023). In the case of criminal offences, data may be shared with the police.

Contact

When you contact us, we process:

  • -name;
  • -email address and/or telephone number;
  • -the content of your enquiry, request or complaint.

Depending on your enquiry, this will be handled by Bounce Valley or by the branch where you made your booking.

Minors

Bookings are always made by an adult supervisor. We process children’s data only where necessary for:

  • -incident reporting;
  • -organising children’s parties (e.g. the name of the child celebrating their birthday, with consent).

We share data with regulatory authorities and law enforcement agencies where we are legally obliged to do so. Franchise outlets receive the data necessary to facilitate your visit to their premises. They are independently responsible for data processing within their own premises.

Cookies

Security and retention periods

We protect personal data using appropriate technical and organisational measures. Only staff who need access to the data are granted access.

We do not retain personal data for longer than is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed. We retain booking details for up to two years after your visit, so that we can deal with any queries or complaints. We retain transaction data for seven years, as we are legally obliged to do so for tax records. We retain CCTV footage for a maximum of four weeks, unless there is an incident where the footage is required for a longer period for investigation or resolution. We retain incident records for as long as necessary for legal proceedings or internal security purposes. We retain account data for as long as your account is active. We retain marketing data until you unsubscribe.

Our website may contain links to websites operated by other organisations. These websites are not the responsibility of Bounce Valley. We have no control over how these parties handle personal data and cannot provide any guarantees in this regard. We recommend that you always read the privacy policy of the website in question before providing any personal data there. This privacy policy applies exclusively to Bounce Valley’s services and websites.

Minors

Our trampoline parks are intended for children, but bookings must always be made by an accompanying adult. We process children’s personal data only where necessary for their safety, for recording incidents or for organising children’s parties.

We may amend this privacy statement if our services change or if required by law or regulations. The most recent version is always available on our website. We recommend that you review this privacy statement regularly so that you remain informed of any changes.

Viewing, amending or deleting your data

You have various rights under data protection legislation. You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or to have it deleted. You may ask us to restrict the processing of your data or to transfer your data to you. You may also object to certain processing activities, such as marketing. Where we process your data on the basis of consent, you may withdraw this consent at any time.

We may ask you for additional information to verify your identity, so that we can be sure we are not amending or deleting data belonging to the wrong person. We will respond to your request within one month. If the request is complex, we may extend this period. In that case, we will inform you accordingly.
