Mummy Blogger: Playgrounds | Bounce Valley Delft
On a sweltering Sunday a couple of weeks ago, we headed to the recently refurbished Bounce Valley Delft to cool off. And although it was quite warm in there, it was still a lot cooler than outside and we had a brilliant time. This was our second visit to a Bounce Valley venue. Arrival
It’s easy to drive to Bounce Valley Delft. There’s free parking right outside. The previous Bounce Valley we visited was quite dark as soon as we walked in. That’s not a problem at all and actually suits the setting quite well. That’s why we’d expected the same at this venue. However, nothing could have been further from the truth, as we walked into a huge, spacious and bright room with plenty of tables and chairs.
We were able to choose a table straight away. To jump and play, you then walk into another room.
Let’s jump!
The jumping area looks incredibly inviting and is basically one big bouncy castle. If you want to store your bag and phone before you start jumping and climbing, you can leave your belongings in one of the lockers for free. Bounce Valley Delft is laid out in a sort of ‘L’ shape and there’s plenty to see and do. We’ve since discovered that it’s also a great place to play hide and seek!
It wasn’t just the boys who had a great time – Pat and I did too. We climbed and scrambled until we were completely knackered, haha.
Food and drink
The food and drink at Bounce Valley are exactly what you’d expect: simply good food with something to suit everyone’s taste. From a slightly more filling snack or lunch, such as a toasted sandwich or pizza, to a tasty little treat. What we really liked was that we could keep refilling our cups with lemonade. You could choose from three flavours each time, which is great when you’re thirsty from all that jumping around.
In summary: what we like about Bounce Valley Delft
Below is a list of what stood out most to us and what we found enjoyable and fun about Bounce Valley Delft:
- Spacious and light restaurant area
- Free lockers for valuables
- Spacious layout, so you can play comfortably, even when it’s busy or if you’re there with a larger group (for example, for a children’s party)
- Bounce Valley is suitable for all age groups. Milan and Floris really enjoyed it, but so did we!
- Free parking
- Friendly staff
The four of us had a brilliant time and laughed our heads off. As far as we’re concerned, Bounce Valley Delft is a really fun day out with children of different ages. And do make sure you join in the climbing yourself!
